NOTICE BY PUBLICATION Tax Foreclosure TO: Ruth Antonette Buckney 430 South Kenton Street Urbana, OH 43078 Unknown Heirs or Beneficiaries of Ruth Antonette Buckney ADDRESS UNKNOWN You are hereby notified that you have been named a Defendant in an action now pending in the Court of Common Pleas of Champaign County, Ohio: Robin Edwards, Champaign County Treasurer v. Ruth Antonette Buckney, et al, Case Number 2025 CV 00048 . The object of the Complaint is to determine your interest in, foreclose a tax lien upon, and possible sale by the Sheriff of Champaign County, Ohio, or forfeiture allowed by law, of certain real property bearing Permanent Parcel Number: K48-25-00-02-12-019-00, 430 S. Kenton St, Urbana, Ohio 43078, the legal description for which may be found in Plaintiff's Complaint, a copy of which is available from the office of the Champaign County Clerk of Courts, 200 North Main Street, Urbana, Ohio 43078. The Complaint further seeks to recover the costs of this action, and to extinguish all rights of dower in the said real property of any non-party spouse of the property owner of record, if any. This notice will be published once per week for three consecutive weeks. Pursuant to RC5721.18(A) and local rule, service will be deemed complete 3 weeks after the first date of publication shown at the end of this notice, and you are required to file your Answer or other responsive pleading setting forth the nature and amount of your interest in the property, and any defense or objection to the foreclosure, no later than 28 days after such service is complete. If you are served earlier by certified or ordinary mail, your Answer is due no later than 28 days after the first mail service. Any such Answer shall be filed with the Clerk of Courts, and a copy of the Answer must be delivered to Plaintiff's attorney at the address shown below. In case of your failure to timely file an Answer or other responsive pleading herein as required by the Ohio Rules of Civil Procedure, judgement by default will be rendered against you for the relief prayed for in Plaintiff's Complaint, and the said property shall be ordered sold or forfeited for the satisfaction of the tax lien on it.
